My lighter color background palette, that I call “stone”, reflects the naturally beautiful variations and striations in stone and concrete all around Chicago where I lived for many years. My Stone paintings are light and airy, achieved by blending white, grey and khaki hues and are highly textured to add strength and individuality to my interpretation of the appearance of the stone background.
